What to Expect:
The Rosevine in Cornwall (the new addition to Family Holiday House), has beautiful sea views overlooking Gerrans Bay nr Portscatho. This part Georgian house is set in 2 acres of wooded gardens and just a short stroll from a safe sandy beach. It is comfortable and understated, and for families who value simple luxury, a perfect mix. Upstairs are 12 serviced guest suites and apartments, and downstairs, a drawing room, play room, indoor pool and dining room where house chefs also prepare delicious rustic food including childrens high tea.
Childcare
everything a family will need for babies and children, and features a children's playroom with large screen tv, an x box and a cupboard full of toys and games for all ages. Outside there's a large lawn to relax on and a lower field perfect for children to run around on, with play area, trampoline, and little wooden house. Price
Suite from £120 to £285 nightly and £875 to £1950 weekly.
Apartment from £145 to £305 nightly and £1050 to £2150 weekly. Accommodation
self contained accommodation, yet also offering the additional facilities of a really good hotel. The house has been completely renovated, and is now relaxed and family friendly, with 12 serviced suites and apartments.
There is a small team of professional staff on hand who combine informality and great hosting, but you choose how much you look after yourself or be looked after.
Painted with traditional colours, the rooms are filled with a mix of old and restored French pieces, which nestle up against more modern finds. Most suites and apartments have sea views and large French doors, which open out onto a private terrace or balcony. Children have cosy separate sleeping areas, with either twin beds or New England bunks from Aspace.
All suites have a sitting/dining area with discreet mini kitchen facilities, which include kettle, toaster, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave/combi oven, for rustling up simple meals. However, if cooking is definitely not on the cards for you, then house chefs prepare delicious rustic style food, served in the sunny morning room and adjoining dining room from mid morning through until supper, including a childrens high tea, except on Sunday. On Sunday you can pre order the chefs night off supper dish to simply heat up in your apartment or try one of the locally recommended places to eat nearby. Facilities
you can combine self catering with the food service available, and choose to eat downstairs in the morning and dining room as little or as often as you like. There is also a deli service where you can order prepared dishes, and other items such as milk, bread, pots of home made jam, breakfast cereals, locally cured meats, snack boxes and wine from the house selection. Other facilties include: a morning room, a dining room, a large drawing room with wood burning stove, a playroom, outside lawns and space to relax or play, wireless internet access, an indoor swimming pool with changing room and shower, and a handy guest laundry. lots to explore nearby. Just four miles from St Mawes, close to the coastal footpath and a stones throw from some of the best sailing waters, and a safe sandy beach.
